The manual.

You are at the desk. Do these in order. The strip is how you check the hop after you send it. It is not a panel you configure.

  1. 01 Hold the lab key

    1. Open Labs, then Model router.
    2. Choose OpenAI or Anthropic. Type the model. Paste the lab key. Press Connect.
    3. The status reads held, and the key field clears. Do not look for the key on the ledger. It is not written there.

  2. 02 Set the ceiling, or leave it open

    1. The cap in the toolbar reads ceiling until you replace that word.
    2. ceiling means no cap is sent with the hop. Type a number when you want the hop to stop if ListCost would pass it.
    3. Type prior and ratio beside it when you have them. The BilledCost figure to their left is the sum of the rows already on the desk.

  3. 03 Arm the fields you are allowed to type

    1. You type on input, on bias, on gain, and on the ceiling. Every other face is a reading. Do not try to set it.
    2. On input, type tokens in as a whole number, and the use case if the pack has one.
    3. On bias, type the pack. Leave drawdown empty unless you are drawing a named credit down.
    4. On gain, type tokens and tokens out as whole numbers, or leave them empty. Empty is read as zero. Anything that is not a whole number stops the hop: bias reads bad_gate, and no row is written.

  4. 04 Send

    1. Type the request in Message and send it. The send also crosses https://api.metrecept.co.uk through this window’s ledger. Paste an sk-at- key in Pipe key first. The status reads on the pipe when the crossing carries a receipt. Without that key the strip still runs locally and the status reads not seated.
    2. An empty message does nothing.
    3. The request then crosses the strip in order: input, bias, gain, delay, filter, output, clock, checker. Read it once, left to right, before you send another.

05 Read the strip once

  1. 01 Input

    The request digest. Tokens in are on Tags. If the digest is empty, the send did not leave the desk.

  2. 02 Bias

    The pack that armed the hop. If the hop stopped, it stopped here. Do not look further down the strip for a provider charge that was never made.

  3. 03 Gain

    ListCost, ContractedCost, BilledCost, and EffectiveCost, written together. The estimate sits beside them with x_EstimateOnly true. Do not add it to BilledCost. The tier asked and the mechanism that ran stay separate.

  4. 04 Delay

    Equal, differs, or unknown. A hit is priced as usage. It is not a cache-read column.

  5. 05 Filter

    Heel and fig, two fractions. The fader follows heel. You do not move it, and neither fraction stops the hop. Fig is exactly awe, expert, protection, or siren. Please is not in that list.

  6. 06 Output

    The hash of what left. You do not type it.

  7. 07 Clock

    One slot for this hop. The hand steps with the faces. You do not step it, and you do not type an hour into it.

  8. 08 Checker

    Open findings, or absent. A finding is a claim, an observed value, the sources, the shape, and the key. Absent means absent. A finding is not a cost.

06 Draw a credit down

  1. Press governance. On the app ledger, type the credit and press Purchase. That writes one Purchase row.
  2. Press Back to desk. On bias, type the word drawdown. Send again.
  3. BilledCost and EffectiveCost become 0.000000. The pipe charge remains on Tags as pipe_usd. If you did not press Purchase first, the word drawdown has no credit to copy against.

A desk hop whose arming charge is 0, on 2,000 miss tokens, writes BilledCost 0.003000 on the list rate. ListCost stays 0.003000. EffectiveCost matches BilledCost before any drawdown. A hop with no tokens writes BilledCost 0.000000. A pipe amount already above 0 is passed through.

07 Seal the month

  1. Press governance. On the app ledger, type the InvoiceId, the invoice total you checked yourself, and the month as YYYY-MM.
  2. Press Seal. The file downloads only when that total matches the sum of BilledCost.
  3. If it does not match, nothing downloads, and InvoiceId stays empty. Do not scrape a live billing feed to force the match. Type the total again when you have checked it.

The charge period is the UTC month of the hop. December ends at 1 January. One heel token that would round to 0 is written 0.0001. A purchase row and a usage row share one header. Session is the only receipt included at 0p. The lab invoice is not in the file. The receipt seed is still on the landlord's land.

What you do not do

  • Do not type a cost for a job that did not cross this pipe. If it did not cross, it is not a row.
  • Do not put a forecast in a cost column. A sealed month is a fact. A projection stays an estimate, in x_EstimatedProviderAvoidedUsd, with x_EstimateOnly true.
  • Do not expect the desk to pull the invoice for you. You type the total.
  • Do not collapse the tier you asked for and the mechanism that ran into one price.
  • Do not add a column. The row is InvoiceId, SkuId, ConsumedQuantity, PricingQuantity, ListCost, ContractedCost, BilledCost, EffectiveCost, x_EstimatedProviderAvoidedUsd, x_EstimateOnly, and Tags.
